Rogue Opera and Covid-19
Covid-19 has had a profound impact on the work of performers world wide.
In these difficult times, Rogue Opera is committed to:
CREATING AMAZING OPERA EXPERIENCES FOR AUDIENCES
PROVIDING PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR ARTISTS
with online events, bespoke gala, online carol experiences and our VIP membership platform
Passionate about bringing opera to new spaces and audiences, Rogue Opera creates intimate productions which can be staged almost anywhere. Through our focus on strong acting and staging, we aim to present the composers' incredible music – and the performers' incredible voices – in ways which appeal to both first time audiences and connoisseurs.
Our productions are sung in the original language, with English surtitles and piano accompaniment, for 50-150 people. With the audience close enough to see blood, sweat and tears and to feel the vibration in every note, a Rogue Opera performance is live theatre at its most personal.
As well as presenting shows in traditional theatre spaces in London, St Albans, Bournemouth and Deal, we have also transformed a 15th century barn in Kent into a theatre for 90 people and brought a special show to a North London synagogue. Pop up performances in parks, shopping centres and on the High Street bring opera into everyday experience.
