Will it all work out in the end?

FAMILY. . . DREAMS. . . LOVE

Rossini's La Cenerentola

A re-imagining of the Cinderella story

TRUE LOVE WINS OUT OVER FAMILY DYSFUNCTION, CLASS & AMBITION

Rogue Opera’s next full-length opera production – originally planned for September 2020 – is Rossini's sparkling La Cenerentola.

We will be taking a fresh look at Cinderella, exploring her fate and (mis)fortunes in a world where glass slippers and fairy godmothers have less to do with the story's ending than her determination to create a meaningful life for herself. (Suitable for all ages.)

This will be a chamber production for singers and piano. Music Direction by Guy Murgatroyd; Choreography and Direction by Michelle Buckley and Bronwen Stephens-Harding.

We'll keep you posted about performance dates

With lockdown restrictions having affected the performing arts so significantly and indoor theatre performances still uncertain, we can't yet set a date for our premiere of La Cenerentola. Like Cinderella, though, we can dream of a brighter future, bringing this production to a stage near you!!

In the meantime, check out our offerings as we move beyond Covid.
