Balham Newsie features Rogue Opera’s livestream opera performances

Live Opera from Chestnut Grove! #Balham opera company Rogue Opera has started a weekly free live stream Opera Cabaret – every Friday at 12 noon – direct from the home of founder, Bronwen!

Bronwen tells us “Rogue Opera, like so many businesses, has ground to a halt, but I’ve been working and learning a whole lot of new skills (sound, light, video, livestream) to try to bring some of our performance offerings online.

“I’ve started a weekly free livestream Opera Cabaret – Fridays at 12 noon – broadcast from my home studio, and I take people through a journey of a few opera top hits, explaining the setting and the song, and trying to create as close to a live experience as possible.

“Like our recent concerts in St Mary’s Church, it’s completely free to watch – I’m accepting donations for my Rogue Opera Covid-19 Project Fund, which is raising money to help support our online content projects and provide our artists with some paid work during this period.”
