Rogue Opera launched its debut chamber production Carmen in 2018, followed by Don Giovanni in 2019.
Post-pandemic, our fully-staged offerings initially focused on original bespoke productions – weaving together opera’s big hits and hidden gems with a new script in English, retaining the original characters and themes and re-imagining stories for today’s audience.
Our original productions, for four singers and pianist are: A Modern Opera Love Story, A Rogue Opera Cabaret and Lovers, Losers and Larrikins.
In 2024, Rogue Opera toured a highly successful season of Carmen Reimagined for four singers and a pianist. Our highly acclaimed 2025 production was Mozart’s Così fan tutte, set in a modern day New York world of share traders and influencers.
